"Can you sit more straight? Just breathe! Sounds just come out!"

"The voice of the wolf is like this? Are you kidding me? * * have you never seen pork before you eat pork”

"Teacher Luo, cymbals, keep up, and the drum, hundreds of thousands of musical instruments, don't hesitate to use it!"

A hundred responses to a hundreds

Wang Yang, Viola player, chief viola player of German International Philharmonic Orchestra, violin, chamber music teacher of Conservatory of Music, Nanjing Academy of Art, visiting professor of Nanjing University Symphony Orchestra, head of Nanjing Youth Symphony Orchestra, art guide of Jiangsu Middle School Students Symphony Orchestra... Of course, there is also the music director of the Nanjing Philharmonic Orchestra.

Wang Yang

Ten years after studying in Germany, Wang Yang led nearly 70 colleagues who loved music public welfare to set up the Nanjing Philharmonic Orchestra.

"This idea has been brewing for a year or two, and started in December 2007. By the beginning of 2008, it will be difficult to put on a formal performance, because without funds, it will be easy to say, because there are many people in the same profession, so it can be said to echo each other." Wang Yang said that what stimulated his idea was to see that almost every city in the world had its own Philharmonic orchestra, and Nanjing should not lose its own symphony orchestra.

Famous conductors are permanent conductors. The backbone of each major instrument is unpaid professional musicians, including many well-known professors and performers at home and abroad. Today, nearly 80 professional performance teams, members of the group pay their own money to make clothes, add equipment, no salary, two rehearsals a week, a monthly public performance, rain or shine, a total of more than 300 performances in the past 10 years... Why?

"Two words, love. The members of our orchestra and the audience who come to our concert are all music lovers." Wang Yang said

Symphony, Luxury

"Symphony is a luxury. This does not mean that it can not be appreciated by ordinary people, but that it is crystal clear, delicate and fragile.

Wang Yang said that almost all foreign philharmonic orchestras are sponsored by enterprises, even for the consideration of nearly 80 members, he also very much hopes that the orchestra will be named by enterprises, so that the members of the orchestra will become professional. "Now I often say half-jokingly that we are an amateur band with professional performance standards."

In Wang Yang's view, if we can solve the economic worries, we can make the orchestra more focused, dedicated to the endless pursuit of music and art, and let the public understand the elegant music.

It is understandable that the performers of the orchestra can invite domestic and international musicians to Nanjing for performances and exchanges without paying for their love of music.

Wang Yang, who returned from the National Symphony Summit six years ago, lamented that among the symphony orchestras in 50 cities across the country, he was generally recognized as the poorest leader. "Most of those orchestras are regular troops enjoying municipal financial allocations. Even orchestras in a western city can receive a government subsidy of 1.6 million yuan per year."

At that time, "where to find money for elegant art" became Wang Yang's anxiety every day. During the day, he searched for interested partners everywhere, and in the evening, he had to rehearse and arrange for drafting performance plans with the group members nervously.

But now Wang Yang is not as anxious as he was.

"Thank the government for providing a lot of support, such as the Nanjing Museum of Culture, which lends us free of charge the Cultural and Art Center for daily rehearsals and public welfare performances. For example, with the concern of the Propaganda Department of the Municipal Committee and the New Bureau of Culture and Guangzhou, we have held symphonic concerts at every Nanjing Cultural and Art Festival since 2009, as well as the Jiangsu Provincial Finance Department and the Jiangsu Provincial Education Department. "Elegant Art Entering Campus" activities, we have done for five years, as well as the annual New Year symphony concert held since 2009, have given us a good opportunity, has become the brand of the orchestra.

Nanjing People and Symphony Concert

"Nanjing is a historic city and the capital of civilization. It can't be without symphony."

Guo Peizhong, curator of Nanjing Municipal Culture Museum, told reporters that in order to popularize Nanjing art, do a good job in public cultural services, it is quite meaningful to promote public symphony with Nanjing Philharmonic Orchestra. "Since 2009, the Nanjing Philharmonic Orchestra has 12 regular public service performances in the Cultural and Art Center every year. Citizens can enjoy them free of charge. There are at least 100,000 performances in 96 performances, which really bring elegant art to the ears of ordinary people. The annual Nanjing Cultural and Art Festival, the symphony concert of the Nanjing Philharmonic Orchestra has become a reserved program, continuously dedicating elegant art to everyone.

Wang Yang was also full of expectations for the Nanjing audience: "At the beginning of our symphony performance, some people were choking melon seeds, wearing slippers and pants, chatting loudly, Temple songs and colorful bells rang ceaselessly. Nowadays, everyone is quiet in the hall. It's a habit to turn off the cell phone directly. We have also made many new attempts to make ordinary people and concerts zero distance, such as explaining the music background and creating stories before playing, so that everyone can be more immersed in the world of music.

Tibetan Dragon Crouching Tiger Orchestra

Who says the symphony orchestra is a serious artist with a straight face? On the rehearsal site, the members of the group had laughed and talked while playing, and their interest came. An impromptu Quartet and a sextet came.

Wang Yang said that a concert ceiling lamp suddenly fell, brushing the dangerous second violin burst, debris, all the performers did not blink their eyelids, the waves did not surprise to play the entire scene..

The shy bass master, the slender young girl who carries the bass in one hand, the fierce man who knocks on the light triangle iron 1.9 meters, the violin uncle who wears a checked suit and a big-name model. The Nanjing Philharmonic Orchestra can be said to be Tibetan Dragon Crouching Tiger.

Family portraits

Ge Xiaoan, 70 years old, is the oldest bass player in the orchestra. He has played bass for almost 60 years. He was a professional violinist of Jiangsu Performing Arts Group. After retirement, he couldn't put down the strings and took the violin into the orchestra. Two times a week, nearly three hours of training, two hours of rehearsal before the formal performance and one and a half hours of formal performance, the old gentleman did not drink water and did not even go to the toilet halfway. He was afraid of delaying time, but shy of running around and hiding from the camera we interviewed.

Grandpa Ge Xiaoan, who has played the piano for more than 60 years

Hao Lu next to Mr. Ge Lao is absolutely the face of the bass industry. This year, she is only 24 years old. She has been playing the violin since the Children's Palace. Other girls choose the light and graceful violin, but she listened to a bass mellow voice and was so fascinated that she cried out to practice this "big fellow". "At that time, there was no children's violin, so I started playing bass directly. Physical strength was practicable, but the most difficult thing was that I could not hold my arms in a short way..." Hao Lu Tucao, but also proud of the teacher said she was practicing bass material. "After joining the Philharmonic Orchestra, he has performed dozens of performances and never had stage fright... Because I am surrounded by Mr. Baoge, who is very experienced and often guides me. Although he says that he is doing public service and dedication, I am also grateful to the orchestra. I really learned a lot of performance skills and experience that I could not learn in class.

Cute little girl,Hao Lu,

Chen Yunhan, a powerful man of nearly 1.9 meters, is probably the most "new" member of the band. He joined the band for only two or three months. He runs a music studio. He is responsible for percussion instruments such as triangle iron, big drum and small drum. Every time he watches this strong man with triangle iron beating carefully on one side, there is always an inexplicable "sprout" feeling, "tigers sniff roses" and "in the band". It's a lot of fun. I'm glad to join this group. Well, it's still a pity. It's too late. Ha-ha."

Perhaps the most legendary violinist is Shen Huipan. At the age of 61, he joined the queue, served as a soldier, worked as a worker, went to university, worked in a research institute, and was dug out to work in a large foreign company. He studied EMBA. He was once president of a multinational company in Greater China. The key is that his main business is electronic semiconductor.

Shen Huipan said that he loved violin when he was young. He once worshiped a famous teacher. In 1974, his father spent 450 yuan a year to buy him a good violin. Unfortunately, after graduating from high school, he put down the violin by mistake. In 2011, he met his teacher again by chance. The teacher asked him if he had played the piano yet. "I suddenly had an impulse, and six months later I resigned and concentrated on playing the piano." That year, he was 54 years old.

A basket of inspirational uncle Shen Huipan

In order to catch up with the lost decades, Shen Huipan practiced violin vigorously for more than four hours every day. In 2015, the teacher recommended him to the Philharmonic Orchestra. Wang Yang set him up as soon as he heard his piano. "This is my dream of symphonic music. I realized it." He treasured every performance very much. "I guess I can get a full-time award, only once I can't get a ticket back in the field, and every other rehearsal and performance I attended."

Shen Huipan's Violin

Shen Huipan is still a "piano idiot". When his friends and collectors from all over the country come to play a good piano, they would like to invite him to "pass the hand", or even send it to him without saying a word, and ask him to try it out. Today, there are four or five valuable Violins in his family. The most rare one is a good one from France, which has a history of more than 150 years. In order to protect the piano, he specially prepared a constant temperature and humidity box, which he took out from time to time on weekdays to maintain. "But every time I play, I bring the piano that my father gave me 43 years ago. It's my musical dream."
